1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files, and similar technologies such as local storage, kept on your device when you visit our website. We use them to make the website work and to understand how it is used. Section 2 explains which analytics starts when you arrive, depending on your country, and which waits until you accept it.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
Essential: needed for the website to work and to remember your cookie choice, so they are always on. If you choose your team or role on the website, that choice is stored on your device only. Our platform at app.aurumailabs.com uses essential cookies to keep you signed in.
Analytics: set by Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used, in aggregate. In India, the United Arab Emirates and the United States, Google Analytics starts when you arrive, and Essential only in the cookie banner switches it off; in India this ends on 13 May 2027, after which it waits for you to accept it. Everywhere else it starts only if you accept analytics in the cookie banner.
Cookieless visit counting: Vercel, which hosts our website, counts page visits without cookies or anything else stored on your device. It tells repeat visits apart only within one day, using a code worked out from your connection that resets every 24 hours, and gives us totals only. It starts when you arrive in India, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and the United Kingdom, and elsewhere only if you accept analytics.
To choose the rule, the website checks your country from your connection each time it loads; we do not store the result. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, or once you make a choice in the banner, we follow that instead, wherever you are.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Analytics cookies come from Google (Google Analytics), which processes this data under its own terms, outside the DIFC. Cookieless visit counting is provided by Vercel, our website host, which processes it for us as our service provider, outside the DIFC. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.
4. Managing Cookies
You can accept analytics, or turn it off with Essential only, in the cookie banner, and change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the website footer. Turning analytics off stops both Google Analytics and the cookieless visit counting, and deletes the Google Analytics cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. The website works without analytics.
